AMC established an investment office in Moscow, Russia which increased the Company’s presence in the region and ensured a hands-on approach to daily operations. Native Russian citizens staffed the office and worked closely with the team in Omaha to ensure investments were well managed.
The Agribusiness Management Company team is unique due to the experience and expertise each member contributes, as well as their extensive experience in sourcing, structuring, managing and exiting food and agribusiness private equity investments in the Former Soviet Union. Team members have a great deal of experience in direct private equity investing with strong financial, strategic and operational skills. The team is also comprised of individuals with notable experience with Government food aid programs.
Agribusiness Partners International, L.P. (API or Fund) was a $100 million limited partnership formed in 1995 to invest in agribusiness and food processing companies in the countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU). The Fund had a guaranty from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, an agency of the United States government and was fully invested in companies located in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. AMC exited the Fund in 2008.
AMC is currently investigating new investment opportunities in the region.
